Nvidia was very vocal about Microsofts affection for its hardware and the company was thrilled to see that Microsoft was using Nvidia alpha DirectX 12 to demonstrate the Forza 5 game. This first public demonstration took place at the Game Developers Conference back in March.
Now its AMDs turn. AMD is happy to announce that a limited number of developers will be able to attend an event where Microsoft and AMD are ready to talk about DirectX 11 and DirectX 12.

Microsoft may have dropped the ball for a while there, as far as indies are concerned, but if recent developments like the showing at San Francisco's Game Developers Conference a few months ago are anything to go by, it looks like they've not only got the ball back, but stuffed it up their jumper in order to sneak it into the goal. Over 250 games are currently being developed under the ID@Xbox programme, and some have already arrived - including Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut, Super Time Force and Nutjitsu.
